How a Tri-State Pool Builder Booked "Another Million Dollars This Year" With a Price Estimator and a 100-Lead Month
The Challenge
This is an owner-operator who has built outdoor living projects since 2003 and specialized in fiberglass pool installation, a five-to-six-figure purchase where homeowners research everything before they call anyone.
His marketing was fragmented the way most contractors' marketing is fragmented: some self-managed Google Ads over the years, a little social posting, an SEO vendor here, a directory service there. The part that bothered him most was opacity. In his words, he "questioned what my spend was on ads versus what portion of that they were taking." When an agency bundles your ad spend into its fee, you never know what actually reached Google. He was about to stitch together another round of separate vendors when he found us.
The Strategy
He came onto our Comprehensive Growth Program, the full stack run as one system, with a simple structural promise: your ad spend goes to ads. The program fee is the program fee.
- An instant price estimator at the center of the funnel. We deployed an instant price estimator on the website and wired it directly into the ad funnels. Price is the first question every pool buyer has, and almost no builder will answer it. Answering it up front pre-qualifies every lead: serious buyers get a range and convert, tire-kickers filter themselves out before costing anything. The result shows up directly in lead costs.
- Multi-channel, one system. Google Ads and Local Services for high-intent searches, Meta ads for demand generation with the estimator as the offer, retargeting for a purchase nobody makes on the first click, and dedicated landing pages built for conversion, each with the estimator embedded.
- The feedback loop that makes ads smarter. Standard in every Growth Program: the CRM reports back to Google and Meta when a lead books an estimate and when a job is sold, so the platforms optimize for buyers, not clicks. Every estimator lead is tracked back to the click that produced it.
- SEO and AEO underneath it all. Locally relevant, answer-first content that ranks in Google and gets cited by AI assistants, including the pricing content competitors refuse to publish, which is exactly what AI engines quote when someone asks what a pool costs. Tracked in Google Analytics, attributed in the CRM.
The Results
Lead costs that break the industry's math. With the estimator as the offer, Meta's own reporting tracked 117 leads on under $5K of spring ad spend, peaking at 60 leads in a single month at $25.87 each. Local Services delivers Google-screened phone calls at roughly $23. For a product measured in tens of thousands of dollars, those acquisition costs change what's possible.

Volume that scaled into season. The estimator produced 198 leads in under four months. Local Services climbed from 15 leads in the first month to 100 in June, at about $23 each.

A calendar problem, the good kind. Four months in, the owner's assessment on a recorded call started with a joke that wasn't really a joke: he was "questioning whether I should try to get all this work or not."
"The flow of business is intense. And I do attribute it to where you guys have put us so far."
Owner, tri-state fiberglass pool & outdoor living builderThe ROI Math
Four months into the program, we asked the owner, on a recorded call, to put a number on the revenue from the channels we built. His answer:
"If I had to guess, it's probably got to be a gross of another million dollars this year."
And his own math on the spend: "If I've got to spend 100 grand or 140 grand to bring in a couple million in business, then it is what it is. I think it equates."
Against roughly $140K in all-in annual investment, program and ad spend combined, $1M in owner-attributed new revenue puts year one on pace for a 7x+ return. His numbers, not ours.

In His Words
"You were handling all the elements in my business that I don't have time to even comprehend right now."
On why he switched from juggling separate vendors"You've got to spend money to make money... you throw a bigger net out there, you catch more fish. If you're looking to grow and expand, these guys are keeping me busy."
On what he'd tell another contractorThe Takeaway
High-ticket contractors win by answering the questions competitors dodge. Publishing price ranges through an instant estimator didn't scare buyers away; it filled the calendar with qualified buyers at $23 to $26 a lead in peak months, fed cleaner data to the ad algorithms, and gave the AI engines a source worth citing. Wrap that in one integrated program where every dollar is visible, and the owner ends up worrying about capacity instead of lead flow.
